FieldSoft Announces Trial Software Offer

(CHANDLER, AZ - January 15, 1998) - Officials of Chandler, AZ based FieldSoft, Inc., today announced the availability of a 90 day trial offer for its line of incident command software for the fire service and law enforcement.. The offer includes a full featured - but time limited - copy of the software, a hard copy user manual and telephone support. All at a cost of only $35.00.

FieldSoft applications are used by incident commanders to manage people, resources, and events while on the scene of an emergency. The software automates most – if not all -- incident management functions formerly handled with pen and paper based worksheets, checklists or marker boards.

The trial software is not some simple Microsoft PowerPoint presentation on a floppy. Rather, the user gets the actual working software and the support needed to get the program up and running in just a few minutes. Moreover, the user gets a personal tour of the software – via telephone – by the command officer who co-designed the application. In fact, the only difference between the trial software and the real software is that the trial expires after 90 days. Subsequently, an agency can order a trial copy and test it to destruction to see if it can really do the job it is intended for.

According to Battalion Chief (Ret) Mark Bouchard of FieldSoft, "this offer means that fire and law enforcement agencies can test drive the software before buying the real thing to see if it works as advertised, or if it is merely another snake oil software package being sold to public safety. Customer swill be able to see for themselves what we mean when we say that incident commanders can use the software to manage what happened, when it happened, and who it happened to with the touch of a finer".
