(Houston, TX, April 8, 1998) - FieldSoft Inc. gave the first public viewing of ERTonScene incident command software today at the industrial Fire World Conference & Exposition. The IFW conference is held annually in Houston. It is targeted to industrial fire and emergency response personnel. The conference includes seminars and vendor displays involving fire protection engineering, confined space operations, flammable liquids, fire brigades, and fire protection systems.

FieldSoft released FDonScene for the fire service on July 1, 1997, and followed that up with the release of PDonScene for law enforcement in January of this year. ERTonScene is based upon the fire product and automates the tactical worksheet. IC’s and their staff use the software to manage what happened, when it happened, and who it happened to with the touch of a finger. The simple and intuitive user interface results in greater command staff effectiveness. Moreover, the software automatically generates an incident event log that documents everything that happed during the incident.

ERTonScene has all of the FDonScene features, but has been tailored for the private sector. Specifically, a facility can create its’ own a set of one or more "checklists" to guide people through simple to complex operations. The checklists can be used before, during, and after an incident in the implementation of emergency response or business recovery operations.
