(CHANDLER, AZ - June 17, 1999) - Officials of Chandler, AZ based FieldSoft, Inc., today announced that Version 2.0 of FieldSofts' FD-onScene command, accountability and pre-planning software is scheduled for shipment July 1, 1999. The 32 bit software is specifically tuned for the Microsoft Windows 9x and NT operating systems. A number of user interface and functional enhancements are included in the release. Enhancements include an expanded Organization Screen for tracking resources, an integrated web browser, and a powerful and new incident pre-planning feature.

FieldSoft applications are used by incident commanders to manage people, resources, and events while on the scene of an emergency. The software automates most – if not all -- incident management functions formerly handled with pen and paper based worksheets, checklists or marker boards. The enhanced Organization Screen allows up to 20 working sectors, division or groups; with the capability for assignment of up to 20 units, strike teams or task forces to each. The integrated web browser allows an agency to build, store, retrieve and display comprehensive text and graphics information for one or more sites. The new pre-planning tool allows an agency to pre-assign 1.) units and people to sectors, 2.) objectives and tasks to divisions and units, 3.) mark up an image showing desired deployments, and 4.) save the information with the touch of one button. The pre-staged incident can then be instantly loaded when needed.

Retail price for the new release will remain unchanged though October 30, 1999. Until then customers who first purchased Version 1.1 can upgrade to the latest release for only $497.50 per copy. Those that first purchased Version 1.5 can obtain upgrades for $750.00 per copy. Customers who purchased FD-onScene after April 1, 1999, are entitled to free upgrades of their existing software.
