Fire And Police Team Up To Purchase FieldSoft Site License

(CHANDLER, AZ – May 20, 2000) - FieldSoft, Inc., announced that a fire district and a law enforcement agency teamed up to purchase a site license for FDonScene and PDonScene software. The Cannon Beach Police Department and the Canon Beach Fire District made the joint purchase.

FDonScene and PDonScene are used to manage people, resources, and events while on the scene of an emergency. The software automates most - if not all -- incident management functions. FieldSoft has standardized both PDonScene for law enforcement and FDonScene for fire, technical rescue, and EMS at version 2.3 releases. The standardization means that law enforcement and other public safety responders can now work together under a unified command concept when necessary, but do so using separate, yet compatible, command tools that have been tailored to their own respective needs.

The City of Cannon Beach, OR. has a population of less than 3000, and is served by the Cannon Beach Police Department. The Cannon Beach Fire District provides services to Cannon Beach proper, as well as areas surrounding the City that are with-in Fire District boundaries.

According to FieldSoft spokesperson Mark Bouchard, "The sale illustrates that any community -- regardless of size -- can benefit from PDonScene and FDonScene."

A sample of FieldSoft customers located in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska include the Mukilteo WA, Fire Department, Kitsap County WA, Fire District # 7, and the Fairbanks AK, Police Department.
