District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Purchase FieldSoft's PDonScene
(CHANDLER, AZ – May 15, 2000) - FieldSoft, Inc., announced that the D.C. Metro Police Department (PD) purchased PDonScene incident management software. DC Metro PD purchased multiple copies of the software for it's SWAT team.
PDonScene is used to manage people, resources, and events while on the scene of an emergency. The software automates most - if not all -- incident management functions. The latest version of the software includes some substantial feature enhancements. Agencies can use the integrated browser to retrieve, display, and print out nearly any type of text or image. Moreover, gathering real time intelligence pertaining to persons, property and vehicles has been simultaneously enhanced and streamlined.
Metro D.C. Police serves a population in excess of one and one half million souls. According to FieldSoft spokesperson Mark Bouchard, "The sale is an important milestone for FieldSoft, since the population served by Metro D.C. PD is larger than any or our other law enforcement customers. The sale is also important because it shows that our products can be used by agencies of any size. Our smallest law enforcement customer by population served for example, protects a community of less than 3,000 people."
