CSU Long Beach Police Select PDonScene Command Software
(CHANDLER, AZ – August 21, 2000) - FieldSoft, Inc., announced today that the California State University, Long Beach, Police Department selected PDonScene software for use in their mobile communication center vehicle.
CSU Long Beach PD protects a campus population of 33,000 persons. The department is comprised of 25 sworn officers, 7 civilian staff, and 35 student assistants. Typical services associated with law enforcement and crime prevention are provided by CSU Long Beach PD. Moreover, the department staffs the mobile communication vehicle, and makes it available for critical incident response to any California State University Campus.
PDonScene is fast, simple, and easy to use software. The product is designed to help strategic and tactical command staff manage people, other resources, and events on the scene. The graphic user interface -- designed especially for use in the field -- eliminates the need for keyboard entry of data. Moreover, the interface lays out incident related information in a way that directly supports real time decision making.
PDonScene is used by law enforcement and corrections personnel across the United States and Canada. Other PDonScene customers in California include the University of California, Davis, Police Department.
