Kentucky State Reformatory Selects FieldSoft Command Software
(CHANDLER, AZ – August 14, 2000) - FieldSoft, Inc. announced today that the Kentucky State Reformatory (KSR) of La Grange, Kentucky, is the first corrections institution to purchase PDonScene incident command software. Decision-makers approved the purchase after personally witnessing FDonScene (fire service software) use by Oldham County, Kentucky, Emergency Management personnel at a local recreational event. The Reformatory intends to use the software to help manage the correctional emergency response team (CERT) when called out for major incidents, and during other emergencies on site.
PDonScene is incident command software used to manage people, other resources, and events. The simple and intuitive graphic user interface makes system operation fast, simple, and easy. Incident commanders are able to see where and how resources are deployed by simply glancing at the computer screen. Moreover, incident requirements and progress are quickly and easily tracked with the movement of a single finger.
"KSR is FieldSoft's first customer in the corrections field" stated Mark Bouchard of FieldSoft. Bouchard added, "FieldSoft intends to develop a version of our command software called CERTonScene, and include special application features to better support emergency response and incident command operations conducted in secure settings such as prisons or jails. The company has waited till now to make a formal CERTonScene product announcement because we did not want to build something for corrections without their buy-in and advice during the process."
Other correctional institutions and detention facilities are actively evaluating PDonScene or are in the process of generating a purchase order for the product.
