Rialto, CA. Fire Department Purchases FDonScene Software
(CHANDLER, AZ – December 29, 2000) - FieldSoft, Inc., announced today that the Rialto, California, Fire Department purchased FDonScene software. Rialto Fire is the fifth California public safety agency to select FieldSoft's integrated incident command, responder accountability, and pre-plan browser application.
The City of Rialto (http://www.ci.rialto.ca.us/) comprises an area of 55.026 sq. kilometers, and is located 80 miles east of Los Angeles. The community has a rich history that goes back more than 150 years to the time of the Spanish Dons. Fire Department history dates back to 1905.
The Fire Department serves a community of more than 80,000 people from 4 fire stations. The 100 plus uniform and civilian employees of the fire department provide firefighting, advanced life support (including ambulance transportation), and hazardous materials response services. Every career firefighter in fact, is either a certified Paramedic or a certified Emergency Medical Technician.
FDonScene software automates incident command, responder accountability, and pre-plan information retrieval so that emergency responders can focus on incident hazards; rather than command system mechanics. The field proven product is in use around the world. Moreover, Fire-Rescue Magazine recently noted that FDonScene is "exemplary", "impressive", and a "critical innovation".
An important benefit of FieldSoft products is that both fire service and law enforcement versions of the software are available. On one hand each product has a similar user interface. On the other hand FDonScene and PDonScene (for law enforcement) have each been given feature sets that are unique to either the fire service or the police service. Subsequently fire and law enforcement agencies who are required to use compatible incident command systems, now have compatible incident command software available for use as well.
