Law Enforcement Agencies Across The Country Selecting FieldSoft's PDonScene Software
(CHANDLER, AZ – June 7, 2001) - FieldSoft, Inc. announced today that the Chula Vista, California Police Department, and the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office purchased PDonScene incident command and tactical survey browser software. Both agencies intend on placing the software into general use for emergencies that require the proactive management of numerous responders, other resources, and events. Each agency purchased six software licenses.
Chula Vista PD ( http://www.chulavistapd.org/ ) is located in San Diego County, and serves a population of more than 155,000 persons. Over 300 sworn and civilian staff deliver a full range of services to the community via three departmental divisions.
The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office serves a gulf coast community in southwest Florida. County population is over 130,000 persons. The Sheriff's Office (SO) works closely with the Fire Department. So closely in fact, that the Sheriff's Office brings the fire department into the command center during emergencies. Subsequently, SO purchased one copy of FDonScene fire service software so that the product would be readily available for fire department use.
Charlotte County SO and Chula Vista PD join a diverse group of over 100 other FieldSoft customers. Customers from the law enforcement and corrections fields include the Metropolitan D.C. Police Department (which used the software in support of 2001 Presidential Inauguration services and which recently placed the product in service with the Harbor Patrol); the Kentucky State Reformatory; the Kentwood, MI Police Department; the Overland Park, KS Police Department; the Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff's Office, and the Windsor Police Service of Ontario, Canada.
