FieldSoft To Demonstrate Latest Incident/Crisis Management Software Releases

(CHANDLER, AZ – August 18, 2003) - FieldSoft, Inc., announced today that it will be demonstrating it's latest software releases at the Fire-Rescue International 2003 Conference to be held in Dallas, TX., later this week. Incident command, crisis management, and firefighter accountability products to be demonstrated will include FDonScene v2.5 single user software, AIMSonScene multi-user software, and FieldSoft's FDonScene to T PASS 3 Interface.

FDonScene software is a stand alone product that automates incident command system (ICS) or incident management system (IMS) tasks and responsibilities, so that managers and supervisors on-the-scene can better focus on incident strategy, tactics, hazards, and firefighter welfare. Multiple copies of the newly enhanced software can be used simultaneously to manage activities on the scene. In addition, report logs generated by the multiple software copies can be merged into a single after action report following incident termination.

FieldSoft's new AIMSonScene software is the multi-user enhancement to FDonScene (and PDonScene law enforcement software). The new software system is a combination of specially enhanced FDonScene "thick" clients and the AIMSonScene web server application. The AIMS server receives, stores and displays information generated with-in one or more copies of FDonScene or PDonScene. The new system also allows AIMS client users to share assignments and messages among themselves.

The TCP/IP based system can be used over compatible wired or wireless networks such as 802.11(a, b, or g), CDPD, or 1XRT.

A truly unique aspect of the system is that FDonScene or PDonScene client software can be used regardless of network or server availability. Inherent failure tolerant features coded into AIMSonScene means that each end user can work an incident with FDonScene (or PDonScene for that matter), and continue to operate in a total stand alone mode should there be a catastrophic network or server failure. Data accumulated during the failure is automatically forwarded to the server following restoration of the failed network connection or web server application.

FieldSoft first demonstrated a prototype interface to the Grace Industries T PASS system at FDIC 2002. Dallas Conference attendees will be able to see how FDonScene and the final pre-release version of the software interface, interacts with the Grace Industries T PASS 3 firefighter accountability hardware system. Moreover, attendees will be able to see for them selves how the interface can substantially leverage the value of FieldSoft and Grace systems via the synergy that results when the systems are combined. The interface will be available exclusively through Grace Sales.

All of the software described above can be seen in the FieldSoft exhibit booth, number 4910. FDonScene software and associated interfaces to other software or hardware products can also be seen in the Aether Systems Inc. and the Raytheon Company "First Responder" exhibit booths or areas. Conference attendees may also wish to make a special stop at the Motorola Inc.® exhibit area to see a live demonstration of Motorola's "Fireground Communication System", which includes a command terminal interface to FieldSoft's FDonScene software. The specially designed interface enables digital firefighter accountability information, and other data as well, to be transmitted directly to incident commanders via two-way portable radios.

The FieldSoft customer base includes over 200 fire service, law enforcement, fire brigade, and emergency response organizations located throughout the U.S., Australia, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq (post invasion).
