FDonScene Selected By Prince William County Fire and Rescue

(CHANDLER, AZ – September 1, 2003) -  FieldSoft Inc., announced today that the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue (PWCFR), Va., has selected FDonScene incident/crisis management software. The PWCFR selection included a software site license, end user training, software support, and an interface between FDonScene and the County's mobile data switch. The software is to be used as a mobile incident command application for County Fire and Rescue forces.

PWCFR (http://www.co.prince-william.va.us/fire/), located just South of the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area, protects a population in excess of 300,000 people. The combination career and volunteer Department responds to fire suppression, EMS, hazardous materials and other emergencies. Service is provided from 18 fire stations divided into three battalions, which are located throughout the 384 square mile jurisdiction. Over 29,000 emergency responses were made by PWCFR during Fiscal Year 2002.

FDonScene software is the leading software solution for organizations that wish to quickly and simply migrate their incident command technology into the 21st century, to better support firefighter safety and survival. The application includes features that simplify the mechanics of incident command, firefighter accountability, and tactical information browsing; so that the command team can better focus on incident strategy, tactics, and hazards. Moreover, FDonScene "stand alone" incident/crisis management software can be connected to other software systems when and where needed, via an application programming interface (API) software development kit (SDK) that is available to qualified parties.
