ICS Software Interoperability Interface Coming Soon

(CHANDLER, AZ – DATE October 21, 2009) – FieldSoft, Inc.  announced today that it has created an AIMSonScene Interoperability Interface.  It makes use of the recently announced AIMSonScene API .NET dll.  The Interoperability Interface automatically pushes incident command system (ICS) events from AIMSonScene to Internet connected computers (e.g. - mobile, laptop, netbook, etc) and text message capable cellular telephones (cell phones).   Basically, the Interface makes it possible for persons down the street or across the country to automatically follow emergency incident progress from incident start to incident finish.

AIMSonScene software replaces tactical worksheets within incident command posts (ICP).  The software is used by incident commanders who respond in vehicles by themselves, and other command staff who have help within the ICP.  The software helps command staff better focus on incident strategy, tactics and hazards.  The result is that command staff are better able to support responder safety and survival.

The Interoperability Interface is actually a standalone application that runs in the background behind AIMSonScene.  Incident events that can be sent from AIMSonScene include benchmarks, strategy changes, incident start time, incident end time, and almost every other event managed by, and through, the software.  The Interface setup program ensures that end users control what gets pushed to the web and to cell phones.

Mark Bouchard, FieldSoft founder, gave two reasons for interface creation when asked about it.  “First, FieldSoft needed to demonstrate some of the new AIMSonScene API .NET dll capabilities. Second, the company knew that a no cost solution of automatic incident updates for people remote from an incident scene was desired. ” Bouchard added, ”We’re making the  “interoperability” claim since cell phone use is ubiquitous today.  In other words, nearly any cell phone equipped person which is approved by the agency using the interface, can be automatically kept abreast of incident status with no cell phone logon or typing required”.

The AIMSonScene Interoperability Interface will be available on request for no additional charge to customers with software under 90 day warranty, customers with current software support subscriptions, and future customers. The interface will be ready for distribution within the 30 days.  Interface software support will also be provided for no additional charge to customers who maintain current SSSE (AKA – software maintenance) subscriptions.  Contact FieldSoft to request the Interoperability Interface.
