Personnel Accountability Made Simpler And More Effective In Nash County, N.C.
(CHANDLER, AZ – April 1, 2009) – FieldSoft, Inc., announced today that Nash County, NC Fire/Rescue Association, the Nashville, N.C. Fire Department, and Eastern Data Plastic Card Systems have taken the County’s personnel accountability system to new levels of simplicity and effectiveness. How so? County first responders have moved beyond cumbersome and marginally effective accountability technology comprised of nametags, passports and status boards. Specifically, first responders can now take advantage of magnetic stripe encoded ID cards and card readers, interfaced with AIMSonScene incident command system (ICS) and personnel accountability software.
County first responders needed an ID system to couple with AIMSonScene software. Eastern Data Plastic Card Systems provided the perfect fit – using a high quality Polaroid Digital Photo-ID system. Eastern Data designed and developed an ID system interfaced to AIMSonScene. The County Fire/Rescue Association funded the card reader system. The Nashville Fire Department brought its already deployed AIMSonScene software to the project.
According to Nashville Fire Chief Tim Pope, “Once personnel arrive on the scene, I swipe their card and they are populated into Staging. I then assign them accordingly” as an individual resource within a division or group managed by AIMSonScene.
