FieldSoft Inc. Announces AIMSonScene Is Compatible With Microsoft Windows 7

(CHANDLER, AZ – DATE October 8, 2009) - FieldSoft, Inc. announced today that AIMSonScene incident command system (ICS) and personnel accountability software is Microsoft Windows 7 Compatible.  The compatibility announcement follows extensive in-house testing and evaluation by FieldSoft staff working in accordance with Microsoft Front Runner program guidelines for Windows 7.

The software, previously found to be NIMS “Consistent” by FEMA’s NIMS Support Center, continues by the way to run effectively on top of Windows XP Professional operating system software as well as the Windows Vista Business Edition operating system.

AIMSonScene ICS software replaces tactical worksheets or marker boards currently used on incident scenes.  Application features allow incident command staff who use the software to efficiently reduce command post workload, increase incident commander effectiveness, and generally better focus on incident strategy, incident tactics, and incident hazards.  Best of all, NO DEDICATED COMPUTER OPERATORS ARE NEEDED to run the software.

“Our goal was to make the Windows 7 compatibility finding prior to the end of the calendar year” stated Mark Bouchard, FieldSoft president.  “My thanks go out to company staff in general, and Lois Rosenlof in particular, who took up the challenge and met the goal under budget and ahead of schedule.  In fact, they did so while also developing the AIMSonScene interface to Twitter within the same development cycle.”

AIMSonScene software is developed and maintained within Microsoft’s Visual Studio development environment for use on Microsoft Window’s platforms.
