FieldSoft Announces “Site License” Pricing For Its Peer-To-Peer Software

(CHANDLER, AZ – June 1, 2006) - FieldSoft, Inc., announced today that it is now offering AIMSonSceneP2P (peer-to-peer) software licenses for sale to local governments on either a license per seat basis or a new local jurisdictional (AKA – site ) license basis. The choice as to which basis to choose rests with the customer.

FieldSoft introduced AIMSonSceneP2P incident command system (ICS) software early last year. FieldSoft has since been evaluating whether or not to offer jurisdictional pricing for the product. “We wrestled long and hard over whether or not to offer the software on a site license basis, and I was the last hold out” stated FieldSoft founder and retired Battalion Chief Mark Bouchard who added “The business side of me was extremely reluctant to “give away” the software via a site license option”.

Bouchard said he finally approved the new pricing model following two recent events. First, a Police Department Deputy Chief who was evaluating AIMSonScene for his community stated that he did “not buy any software product whatsoever” unless a “site license” was available. Second, Phil Politano, Emergency Management Program Coordinator for Onondaga Community College who is using the software in his degree program, made a compelling case as to why site licensing would better meet the needs of his educational program, and - in turn - program participants.

“The retired IC side of me finally beat out the business side, once I realized that first responders might not benefit from the safety and survival benefits of our software if price became -- directly or otherwise -- the sole hurdle to product selection”, Bouchard said.

FieldSoft has also recently introduced a new bundled software package so that customers may select an AIMSonSceneMU (multi-user) software system that comes with, or without, peer-to-peer features and benefits.
